Unconventional Gas Resources - United States and Canada

Unconventional Gas Resources (UGR) is a private company focused on the development of unconventional resources in North America. The company has offices in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and in College Station, Texas, U.S.A. UGR is backed by ARC Financial, EnCap Investments, L.P. and MGV Management, L.P.

UGR’s management and technical team has extensive knowledge and experience in all primary unconventional resource types (shales, tight sands and coalbed methane) and has been working these types of reservoirs since the 1980’s. The UGR team has significant work experience in all the major unconventional basins in North America and discovered the Horseshoe Canyon coalbed methane play in Alberta, Canada. UGR’s broad experience encompasses the full cycle of activities associated with the exploration and development of resource plays, giving it a unique ability to find and commercialize new unconventional projects in North America.

UGR is currently focused on developing its core asset in the North Montney play of northeast British Columbia (BC). UGR operates under the affiliate UGR Blair Creek Ltd. in BC. The Montney is a world-class gas play and UGR controls over 70,000 net acres and 27 Tcf of net resource in the Montney. UGR’s short-term goal is to grow its production to 400+ MMcf/D by 2020.

UGR's August 2016 production was 41-59 MMcf/D, with up to 12 MMcf/D shut-in due to Spectra and TCPL maintenance restrictions at any given time. UGR's Jan 1, 2016 independent 2P Montney reserves were 1.85 Tcf with a PV10 of $1.0B Cdn.
